Report on California Fracking. Fracking Infographic

The meeting will be a two-fold presentation. At 10am, Dr. Preston Jordan will be our first presenter. Dr. Jordan was a lead scientist on the recent study of fracking in California completed by the nonpartisan California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. He will present a summary of the report including the assessment of issues such as impacts of fracking on our water, atmosphere, seismic activity, wildlife and human health.

Our second presenter will be Linda Phillips from the California League of Women Voters. Ms Phillips will update us on relevant and timely energy-related legislation.

Although oil prices are currently very low, that glut is expected to expire and renewed efforts to frack are expected. Be informed on those impacts. Bring a friend or two.

This League forum will be held at the Health Plan of San Joaquin facility, 7751 S. Manthey Rd, French Camp, directly off the I5 Mathews Road exit.
